It is an honor to serve as Chair of the ASCE Geo-Institute Orange County Chapter. Our chapter brings together a dynamic community of geotechnical professionals working in one of the most technically challenging and diverse regions in the country. From coastal and seismic considerations to urban development and infrastructure resilience, Orange County continues to be a proving ground for innovation in geotechnical engineering.

This year, our focus is on strengthening professional development, fostering collaboration across disciplines, and creating meaningful opportunities for knowledge sharing. We aim to highlight practical case studies, emerging technologies, and lessons learned from local projects, while also supporting the next generation of geotechnical engineers through mentorship and engagement.

We will continue to offer high-quality technical programs, seminars, and networking events that foster both professional growth and meaningful connections. Our strength as a chapter lies in the active engagement of our members, and I encourage everyone to get involved—whether by attending events, sharing expertise, or volunteering with our Board.

I look forward to working together to make this an impactful and rewarding year for our Orange County geotechnical community.
