Community Improvement Project

Have you seen the new HAWK (High-intensity Activated crossWalK) signal on 18th Street leading into Lions Park?  This CostaMazing traffic signal is designed to help pedestrians safely cross busy streets. If you haven’t driven through a HAWK signal yet, here’s a quick video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxR6ph9w0mY) demonstrating how both pedestrians and motorists may navigate safely through a crossing sequence.  This HAWK signal is one of several coming to our community soon as the City of Costa Mesa continues to develop traffic safety projects that make it more convenient to reach your destination on foot.
