Marionne Lapitan is a Traffic/ITS Engineer at Jacobs. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from CSULB in 2019 and Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Transportation Option) from Cal Poly Pomona in 2023. She has worked on various projects across Southern California.


She is also the ASCE OC Younger Member Forum President-Elect, OC Branch Publications Chair, and Webmaster. Marionne aims to continue to make a difference through civil engineering to build a brighter future for the next generation. She co-founded the ASCE CSULB Dream Big: A K-12 Civil Engineering Outreach Event in 2018. She has continued to guide and support her alma mater as they promote the profession to K-12 and university students. She aims to continue to empower, encourage, and uplift others to recognize their abilities and ultimately lead with a purpose.


Marionne has also organized multiple community service events as Outreach Chair for the APWA Southern California Young Professionals Committee. Her favorite service events include the Pet Literacy program for animal shelter pets, installing smoke alarms with the American Red Cross, K-12 classroom visits, and much more. She is passionate about designing and building communities, both structurally and socially.


Seeing volunteerism foster a positive difference in her life inspired her to advocate for infrastructure, STEM education, environment, animal welfare, and so much more within her community. Marionne is an active ASCE, APWA, ITE, and OCTEC member.
