More than a decade in the making, Finamore Place is how Jamboree Housing Corporation (affordable housing developer), the City of Anaheim and stakeholders U.S. Bancorp Impact Finance, Orange County Housing Trust with funding from Disneyland Resort, worked together to transform a vacant 2.86-acre lot into a vibrant community providing much needed affordable housing to the city of Anaheim.
Finamore Place provides 102 high-quality affordable apartment homes ranging from one to three bedrooms for working families and formerly homeless families, plus 20 units for residents with special needs. The four-story apartment building includes a clubhouse, spacious courtyard, swimming pool, barbecues, outdoor picnic, playground/tot lot, sports area, reflection walk, community garden, onsite supportive services and 198-space parking structure. In addition, Finamore Place was designed to achieve LEED for Homes Silver Certification.
A distinguishing feature of Finamore Place is an additional new two-story, 17,000 sf Community Center, known as, “Finamore Place Community Collaborative”. This facility serves as a premier model of Jamboree's innovative approach to community service and impact. The center includes flexible recreational space, onsite management offices, and a collaboration of resident and community services provided to the entire neighborhood. Finamore Place features Child Guidance Center’s onsite satellite family mental health services center, St. Jude's new onsite neighborhood clinic — a Medi-Cal health provider that provides free medical services to Medi-Cal patients — and an Orange County Head Start onsite early education center. Finamore Place is the eighth successful joint venture by the City of Anaheim and Jamboree Housing, for a total of over 800 affordable housing units constructed to date.
