Derek McGregor

Derek J. McGregor, P.E., P.L.S., is a Principal with DMc Engineering a Civil, Surveying, Planning, and Construction Management firm headquartered in Irvine, California.  He is a registered Civil Engineer and Land Surveyor in the states of California, Nevada, and New Mexico.  Mr. McGregor has over 37 years of experience in the public and private sector, engineering, mapping, surveying and construction.  Mr. McGregor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University.  Mr. McGregor has been a member of ASCE since 1980. Mr. McGregor served as president of the Orange County Branch during 1994-1995 and has also chaired numerous committees.  He was on the Board of Directors for CELSOC, SAME and UCI Engineering Affiliates.  Mr. McGregor is also a member of AWWA, APWA, and CSLA.  He currently serves on the OCTA Environmental Oversight and Technical Advisory Committee.  He also serves as a County Commissioner for the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO).  He also teaches an afterschool engineering program and has done this for the past 17 years.
