Kathereen Shinkai
Kathereen Shinkai, PE was president of the Orange County Branch from 2009—2010. Kathereen received her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, and is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer in the State of California. She is employed by Carter & Burgess, Inc. and is the Group Manager of the Land Development Group. Kathereen joined ASCE in 1995 and has been a very active member. She was the Student Chapter President at University of California, Irvine in 1998, and later continued as Student Practitioner Advisor. She became active in the Orange County Branch when she took the position of Student Activities Chair. Kathereen has also helped students with the Pacific Southwest Regional Conference by being the Conference Advisor when the University of California, Irvine and Cal State University, Fullerton student chapters were selected as hosts for the 2002 and 2005 conferences.
