ASCE OC Sustainability: Earth Day Bike Ride Event through San Juan Creek Trail

ASCE OC Sustainability Committee organizes two bike rides a year, with the goals of promoting healthy activity and exploring one of many Orange County's beautiful trails. The bike ride event is an opportunity to meet and network with other participants in the bike ride.

On Earth Day, April 22, the ASCE OC Sustainability Committee organized a bike ride through the San Juan Creek trail from Los Rios Historical District at SJC to the marina at Dana Point Harbor. Out and back, the round trip was roughly 11 miles, mostly flat.

The slow-paced ride was suitable for all abilities, and nobody was left behind!

Earth Day Bike Ride Attendees

The group of 11 cyclists stopped at Doheny Beach for a short discussion about San Juan Creek Improvement Project and Doheny Ocean Desalination Project.

The cyclists gathered at Coffee Importers, Data Point Marina, for networking, snacks, and drinks before heading back using the same trail.

Stay tuned for the next bike ride event during the Fall!
