As part of YMF’s University Outreach Committee, Samantha Bahena, Marionne Lapitan, Javier Urias, and I were on the panel of young professionals presenting to enthusiastic students eager to learn how to kick-start their careers. We delved into topics such as; where to do online job searches, how to create a personal brand, the importance of networking, tips for resumes, and preparing for interviews. It was a great pleasure to have an opportunity to engage with students, provide tips, and answer all their questions. By the end of the workshop, we had a couple of students still interested in learning more, and we were more than happy to stick around long after the workshop ended to offer support and resources. The workshop was a success, and I look forward to future events where we can continue to help students prepare for their careers.
